Terms of Use

CiteGuard is an MVP citation verification tool. It helps identify citation metadata risks, but it is not a substitute for scholarly, legal, medical, editorial, or professional review.

No Accuracy Guarantee

Verification results are based on available data from external scholarly databases. A citation may be missing, delayed, indexed differently, or represented with incomplete metadata.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing citations before submission, publication, or professional use. Treat CiteGuard output as a risk signal and evidence trail, not a final authority.

Acceptable Use

Do not use the service to abuse external APIs, submit excessive automated traffic, upload sensitive documents, or attempt to bypass rate limits.

Third-Party Services

CiteGuard may query CrossRef, OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar, analytics providers, and an optional AI provider. Their availability and data quality are outside our control.
